1. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide when creating an account, including your email address and password. We also collect the prompts you generate, your usage data, and payment information processed securely through Paystack. We do not store your full payment card details.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to provide, maintain, and improve PromptForge. This includes generating and storing your prompts, processing payments, sending verification and password reset emails, and monitoring for abuse or security threats. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
3. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on secure servers hosted by Railway. We use industry-standard encryption for data in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest. Passwords are hashed using bcrypt and never stored in plain text. Access to your data is protected by JWT authentication with 7-day expiry and automatic inactivity logout after 10 minutes.
4. Prompt Data
The prompts you create are stored and associated with your account. Prompts you mark as public or share via a share link are accessible to anyone with the link. You can delete any prompt or your entire account at any time from Account Settings, which permanently removes all associated data.
5. Cookies
We use a single httpOnly cookie to maintain your login session. This cookie is essential for the service to function and cannot be disabled while using PromptForge. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies.
6. Third-Party Services
We use Paystack for payment processing, Brevo for transactional emails, and Railway for hosting. Each of these services has their own privacy policy. We share only the minimum necessary data with each provider.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. You can update your password from Account Settings. You can permanently delete your account and all associated data using the Delete Account option. For any other requests, contact us at kellysyder753@gmail.com.
8. Children's Privacy
PromptForge is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have collected data from a child, please contact us immediately.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or by displaying a notice in the app. Your continued use of PromptForge after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
